Tutor: Antonio TERRASI

Salvatore La Manna was born in 1990 in Catania, Italy. He obtained his Master’s Degree in Chemistry of Materials with final mark 110/110 cum laude at University of Catania, in November 2019. After a work experience at CNR-IMM as research fellow, he started a Ph.D course in Materials Science and Nanotechnologies at University of Catania in November 2021. He is currently working at the Department of Physics and Astronomy, University of Catania, and at CNR-IMM labs. His main scientific interests are focused on the optimization of innovative materials for photovoltaics. In particular, his research activity regards the synthesis, engineering and characterization of sub-stoichiometric transition metal oxides thin films used as selective contacts in heterojunction solar cells.
