Light and heavy hadron production in ultra-relativistic collisions via a Coalescence plus Fragmentation approach

The research project focuses on the theoretical study of quark-gluon plasma (QGP) and the dynamics of hadronization in ultra-relativistic collisions at LHC and RHIC energies. It aims to develop a unified approach to the production of light and heavy hadrons, based on coalescence-plus-fragmentation models, to provide a consistent description of the space–time evolution of the system and hadron formation. Specifically, the project involves the development of a dynamical coalescence framework combined with a relativistic transport code and the study of key observables in various collision systems, with the aim of identifying possible signatures of QGP formation even in small systems.
