Education, Research Activity and Interests:
My background education is mainly in theoretical physics of gravitation and in theoretical cosmology. Currently, I am working mostly on gravitational collapse and (regular) black holes, on the issue of the central singularity, and on the issue of the Cauchy horizon instability. The proposed regularization conditions are mainly inspired by the asymptotic safety scenario for quantum gravity.
I am also interested in modified classical theories of gravity (dealing with both new gravitational fields beyond the metric or variations of the standard metric-affine structure), in the problem of providing a theoretical explanation for the dark energy and dark matter phenomenologies - without invoking new matter sectors beyond the Standard Model, in modified Newtonian dynamics, in cosmology of the early universe, in the issue of the Hubble tension, in canonical approaches to quantum gravity, in generalized entropies, in foundations of (relativistic) quantum mechanics and QFT, and in philosophy and history of science.
Finally, I have an aside interest in political and critical theory, in philosophy in general, pop culture, cinema, fiction books, poetry, cooking, science outreach, music, dancing, and visual arts. You can communicate with me using Italian, Spanish, English, extremely basic Danish and Dutch, and intuitive gestures.
