Lucia Oliva

Assegnista di ricerca
dal 15/09/2021 al 14/09/2022
Responsabile scientifico: Vincenzo GRECO

She received her Bachelor and Master degree in Physics will full marks from the University of Catania. In march 2017 she obtained at Catania University her PhD in Physics cum laude with a thesis entitled "Impact of the pre-equilibrium stage of ultra-relativistic heavy ion collisions: isotropization, photon production and elliptic flows" under the supervision of Prof. Vincenzo Greco. After PhD she stayed as postdoc for one year in Catania University doing research on vorticity in relativistic heavy-ion collisions. In May 2018 she moved to Germany, working as postdoctoral researcher in the group of Prof. Elena Bratkovskaya at GSI in Darmstadt for one year and then for two years at the Institute for Theorethical Physics of Frankfurt Goethe University with a postdoctoral fellowship of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. Her research activity focused mainly on high-nergy proton-nucleus collisions and the effects of vorticity and electromagnetic fields in both large and small systems. Since September 2021 she is postdoc at the Department of Physics and Astronomy of Catania University in the group of Prof. Vincenzo Greco and she is mainly working on the dynamics of electromagnetic and chromo-magnetic fields in proton-nucleus and nucleus-nucleus collisions at ultra-relativistic energies.
