From november 2018: Phd Student of the 34th cycle in Complex Systems, with main focus on social vulnerability associated with environmental hazards, at the Department of Physics and Astronomy Ettore Majorana of Catania, tutor Prof. F. Martinico; Master at Polytechnic of Milano entitled "Seismic Design of Structures for Sustainable Buildings", with an in-depth study of a lower secondary school at San Pietro Clarenza (CT), tutor prof. P. Crespi; Degree in Architecture at the University of Catania with 110/110 with honors, supervisor proff. F. Martinico, M.Ignaccolo.
Earthquake and social vulnerability. The research project moves from the question of "safe city" posed by the community in the risk society: thanks to the selection of some predominant factors in the definition of the complex risk paradigm, the objective is to identify a feasible way to overcome the gap between a strictly techno-centric approach and a socio-anthropological approach, which emphasizes the vision of risk as a social construct.
