The JUNO Observatory (Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory), under construction in China, is designed to study the oscillations of electronic antineutrinos produced by nuclear reactors and the related mass hierarchy. It will be located 53 km from the source and will be the "main detector" of the experiment. The experiment involves a second detector to be placed near, about 30 m, the nuclear reactor of the Taishan power plant, called JUNO / TAO. It will be used to measure the flux of antineutrinos near their source and their energy spectrum. To detect the antineutrinos, JUNO / TAO will measure the scintillation light produced during the passage of the positron generated through the beta decay induced by the electronic antineutrino, and the light produced during the absorption of the neutron by Gadolinium.
The objective of the PhD Research Project is the creation and study of the performance of an algorithm for identifying and reconstructing the events generated by the inverse β.
