Dr. Federica Scollo is a physical chemist with a strong background in biophysics and expertise in membrane dynamics and protein–lipid interactions. She studied Chemistry and Materials Chemistry at the University of Catania and earned her Ph.D. from Charles University in Prague, conducting her research at the J. Heyrovský Institute of Physical Chemistry (Czech Academy of Sciences) under the supervision of Prof. Martin Hof. She was also a visiting scientist at the Heidelberg University Biochemistry Center (HPC-Europa3 fellow), working in the group of Prof. Walter Nickel. Her methodological expertise includes label-free techniques such as QCM-D, as well as fluorescence-based approaches (both microscopy and spectroscopy).
