Wed 20 February 2019  The ESA-Gaia mission is producing an unprecedented revolution in Universe sciences. The discovery of quick magnetic transitions in young ultra-fast rotating stars is quite unexpected. In this colloquium, the consequences for the inference of stellar age, for the formation of planetary systems, and for the star-planet interactions will be discussed, together with the methodology that has led to such a discovery.
