I completed my academic journey at the University of Palermo, earning a Bachelor's degree in Physical Sciences followed by a Master's degree in Physics, both awarded cum laude (110/110 cum Laude). My Master's thesis on statistically validated networks was developed under the supervision of Professor Rosario Mantegna. In recognition of my academic achievements, the University of Palermo awarded me the Eduardo Gugino Prize for the top graduating Master's student across the Physics and Chemistry, and Mathematics and Computer Science departments.

My primary research interests lie at the intersection of statistical physics and network science. My work focuses on developing and evaluating statistical validation methods and null models for complex systems. Specifically, I study how structural constraints shape statistical inference and hypothesis testing across different statistical ensembles, including exact microcanonical models, maximum-entropy canonical formulations, and other analytical approximations. Beyond formal methodological development, my research applies these statistical frameworks to analyze empirical data across diverse interdisciplinary domains.
