Introduction to Quantum Gravity

Giorno 30 ottobre 2019, con inizio alle ore 17:00, presso l'Aula F del DFA, il Dr Lesław Rachwał (Department of Physics, Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering, Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU), Prague, Czechia) terrà un seminario dal titolo Introduction to Quantum Gravity.

Abstract. I will introduce the basic ideas of the theory of the quantised gravitational field using the dimensional analysis and some analogies with QED. Later I will list many approaches to QG trying to find some common roots or important distinctive differences between them. I plan this lecture to be accessible also to undergraduate students so it will not be concentrated on technical or mathematical aspects of the theory.
