ESSENA 2022

The 11th European Summer School on Experimental Nuclear Astrophysics (Santa Tecla School, ESSENA 2022) will take place at INFN-LNS, in the "Emilio Migneco" Congress Hall, from June 12 to June 19, 2022.

The Santa Tecla School is an international school established in 2001 and mainly devoted to the education of young PhD students and young researchers. The Santa Tecla School is part of the European Network of Nuclear Astrophysics Schools (ENNAS), together with the Sinaia and Russbach schools.

The ENNAS schools have the common task of educating and improving young physicists in nuclear physics, astrophysics and their mutual relationship in the field of nuclear astrophysics.

The Santa Tecla School is organized by the ASFIN group of Catania and is supported by INFN-LNS, Università di Catania, Dipartimento di Fisica e Astronomia “E. Majorana” (DFA-UniCT), Chetec-INFRAIA and Centro Siciliano di Fisica Nucleare e Struttura della Materia (CSFNSM).

The School is chaired by R. G. Pizzone (INFN-LNS) and L. Lamia (DFA UniCT & INFN-LNS).

The School's program features a public lecture by Professor Jocelyn Bell on The discovery of pulsars, on June 15 h 18:00.
