Workshop per i 70 anni di Francesco Catara

In occasion of the 70^th birthday of Francesco Catara an International Workshop is being organized on "Structure and Dynamics of nuclei far from stability". It will be held in Catania at the Dipartimento di Fisica e Astronomia from September 15^th to September 16^th, 2011. The idea is to gather the experts of the field to discuss the results achieved in the last years and their perspective. Particular attention will be given to nuclei in the region with neutron excess, which have been lately the subject of experimental investigation. The workshop will have a few sessions: one will be dedicated to the microscopic theories and the recent development relevant for the exotic nuclei; one will be reserved for the latest experimental results with particular attention to the nuclei with neutron excess; and one will be devoted to the interplay between structure and dynamics which can allow to put in evidence new phenomena for the nuclei far from stability valley.

Registration

The workshop will be held at the Dipartimento di Fisica e Astronomia dell'Università di Catania. A conference fee of 150 Euros is requested and it will cover coffe breaks, lunches and the conference dinner on Friday the 16^th.
