Nucleon-nucleon/hyperon Interactions, and soft-core meson-exchange ESC08-model.

Description
In this talk the Nijmegen potentials are reviewed, with an emphasis on nucleon-nucleon scattering and the nuclear force. Topics covered are: (i) derivation and properties of the Yukawian meson-exchange potentials: one-boson-exchange (OBE), two-meson-exchange (TME), meson-pair-exchange (MPE), (ii) the connection between the meson coupling constants and the quark-pair creation mechanism, (iii) multiple gluon-exchange, (iv) quark-core effects. Furthermore, applications to the EoS in connection with nuclear saturation/neutron-star matter, and three-body forces will be sketched.
