Nonequilibrium fluctuations in nano systems and devices
Titolo: Nonequilibrium fluctuations in nano systems and devices
Relatore: Dr. Michele Campisi (Scuola Normale Superiore)
Abstract:
I will give an overview of non-equilibrium fluctuations in small systems, with
particular emphasis on exact results known as “Fluctuation Theorems”, which encompass
linear response (the fluctuation-dissipation theorem) as well as non-linear response theory.
I will discuss some of the past, current, and proposed experimental activities aimed at
verifying them and exploit them for the understanding and design of nano systems and
devices.
