Bayesian inference in physics

Il seminario si svolge nell'ambito dei Young Physicists to Young Physicists (YP²) Seminars, organizzati dal Dottorato di ricerca in Fisica.

Tutte le persone interessate sono invitate a partecipare.

Abstract. Bayesian inference provides a method for obtaining information and improving the current knowledge from a new evidence, even in ill-conditioned circumstances. So, why isn't every physicist a "Bayesian"? During this seminar, after introducing the theoretical framework, we will examine the strengths and shortcomings of the method by applying it to real case studies.
