Quality assurance
Quality Assurance (QA) encompasses the principles, processes and activities through which the University promotes the continuous improvement of teaching, research and services, while monitoring the achievement of its institutional objectives.
The system is based on the European Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG) and on the AVA framework (Self-Assessment, Periodic Evaluation and Accreditation), established by ANVUR, which combines internal self-assessment with external evaluation.
The University's Quality Assurance (QA) system involves, alongside the University's governing bodies (the Rector, the Director General and the collegiate bodies), the Quality Assurance Office (PQA) and the Evaluation Committee (NdV). At Department level, the main actors include the Joint Teaching-Student Committees, QA coordinators and QA working groups for teaching and research.
The Director of the Department is responsible for the Department's Quality Assurance. A Department Quality Assurance Committee (CQD) is established in each department, which is appointed by the Director of the Department and ensures the connection between the PQA and peripheral structures (Department, CdS, CPDS) and provides support and advice about AQ of teaching, research and third mission.
