Economic promotion of research
An increasing number of organizations and companies, both national and international, are turning to the Department of Physics and Astronomy "Ettore Majorana" (DFA) of the University of Catania to commission research and consultancy. These services can be performed upon stipulation of a specific scientific collaboration agreement or in the form of services on behalf of third parties.
Scientific collaboration agreements
The DFA proposes to the University of Catania the signing of agreements with public and private bodies for research, consultancy, training with external funding on research topics specific to the DFA to be carried out at the DFA's facilities and the educational and scientific laboratories.
Provision of services on behalf of third parties
The provision of services on behalf of third parties (D.R. n. 11336 del 12/12/2005) represent a further purpose of the DFA, after research and teaching. These are consultancy activities and/or services commissioned by external public or private bodies that the DFA is able to offer thanks to state-of-the-art facilities and the experience and excellence of its researchers. The activities that can be carried out and the relative cost are listed in the Tariff for Third Party Services.
