What is an improbable research?

Marc Abrahams, editor in chief of Annals of Improbable Research, organizer of the IG Nobel Prize, will present several instances of researches that make people first laugh, and then think. Real researchers, on any topic and in any field. Researches that can be right or wrong, useful or useless, revelant or irrelevant.

As Isaac Asimov used to say, "The most exciting phrase to hear in science, the one that heralds new discoveries, is not 'Eureka!' but 'That's funny...!'"

The event is organized by Centro Siciliano di Fisica Nucleare e Struttura della Materia, in collaboration with #DFA. The official language will be English.
