Roberto Grasso was born in Catania on the 1st of August, 1996. In 2019 he obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, with mark 110/110 cum laude from the University of Catania by discussing a thesis, carried out in collaboration with STMicroelectronics, entitled “Data Mining Models to analyze the causal relationship between evaluation boards and sales”. In 2021 he obtained his Master's Degree in Computer Science, with mark 110/110 cum laude from the University of Catania by discussing a thesis entitled “An algorithm for searching and counting motifs in temporal networks”. In November 2021 he started the Ph.D course in Complex Systems for Physical, Socio-economic and Life Sciences at the University of Catania.

His research activity focuses on the analysis of networks, with particular interest in temporal networks. He develops algorithms for: i) subgraph matching, ii) motifs mining, iii) generating random networks. He also studies Deep Learning models for the embedding of temporal networks.
