The Dipartimento di Fisica e Astronomia (DFA) is engaged in a broad range of research programs in Physics Applieto the fields of Archaeology and Cultural Heritage, Biophysics, Electromagnetic Fields and Waves, Geophysics and Environmental Physics, Medical Physics and dosimetry. These programs are carried out in collaboration with the Centro Siciliano di Fisica Nucleare e Struttura della Materia (CSFNSM), the Laboratorio Nazionale del Sud (INFN-LNS) and the Sezione di Catania (INFN-CT) of the Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare (INFN), various academic departments, health units and private and public corporations.
